Series I
Eleven completed works. A twelfth in progress.
Large-scale oil on canvas. Each work carries its own theme and internal world, built through layers of deep thought and direct painting. The series is ongoing.
Stones IX — Become — became the origin point of Paintscape Photography™ and OIRA™, launching an entirely new recursive creative system. Read about the concept →
Nature
The title for this abstract painting was inspired by a photo I had taken of stones beneath running water in the backcountry (Ghost PLUZ). This set the inspiration — the vibration — for the entire Stones Series.
Love
The painting embodies exploration of the wilderness and personal relationships.
Meditation
The imagery came to me during a meditation session one morning. The title came to me later during another meditation session. This painting is about how we connect to the unknown, through methods such as meditation. "Be here painting, don't be somewhere else" I would often tell myself throughout the process. This painting was about being something, rather than being like or resembling something.
Positivity
"I visualize negativity in all forms crumble apart into pieces as it nears me. In this state nothing can penetrate the shield of positivity I have created around my being. Fragments gently blown away into another direction away from me. I am the Sun." The words in quotation came to me one morning while watching the sun rise on the horizon. The painting was inspired by the words and the moment.
Science / Spirituality
“Everything Is From The Sun — it created, but there was no one to see the magnificence of it all. Then it created you, the creator of it all.”
Cellular
This painting reflects my fascination with the unseen cellular activity within my body, inspired by the stones of Ghost (PLUZ) and a mental vision of life's microscopic realm.
Gratitude
An ode to Bob Proctor. I was working on improving my outlook on life, searching for and watching positive things on the internet — how to improve my mental and physical well-being. I came across some Earl Nightingale videos and enjoyed watching them, which led me to Bob Proctor. I am so grateful for people like Bob who share positivity, wisdom and knowledge. This painting began with a few of his favorite illustrations of the mind and body, stonework and observers worked in around that foundation. Thanks Bob!
Energy
Flow in flow out, love, breath, gratitude. Inspired by a true story.
Thought
The power of thought, a reflection of the belief that you become what you think about. Inspired by a strong desire to paint, I created this work as if an unknown force flowed through me, allowing myself to become.
Connectivity
An interaction of moving particles that create reality as we know it.
Consciousness
Imagination
Coming soon.
